Image information

Description

The small, stem-tip leaves of Hyaenanche globosa are yellow-green with orange near their tips. Each emerging whorl of four leaves is distinctly separated by an internode.

The young leaves fold in along their midribs unlike the hard, flat older blades below where slight waviness is present. There are no leaf stipules on this species (Coates Palgrave, 2002; iNaturalist).
