Albizia harveyi, commonly the bushveld false-thorn, sickle-leaved false-thorn or common false-thorn and in Afrikaans the bleekblaarboom (pale leaved tree), is a small, deciduous tree with slender crown reaching heights from 8 m to 11 m, occasionally 15 m (SA Tree List No. 155).

The bark is grey to dark brown, rough and deeply, longitudinally furrowed and transversally cracked. Young growth is covered in pale brown to golden, velvety hair.

The species is distributed in South Africa in the far northeast, only in parts of Mpumalanga and Limpopo; a much larger distribution exists in tropical Africa.

The habitat is varied woodland and arid bushveld. The species is not considered to be threatened in its habitat early in the twenty first century (Coates Palgrave, 2002; Schmidt, et al, 2002; Van Wyk and Van Wyk, 1997; iNaturalist; http://redlist.sanbi.org).
