Image information

Description

The flowers of Maireana decalvans grow solitary from leaf axils.

The five spreading tepals are round-tipped and wedge-shaped, tapering to the base. The tepals may be white, particularly when young, otherwise pink or red, mainly in the outer parts.

There are five exserted stamens with oblong lobes. The ovary is broadly ovoid (iNaturalist; http://flora.sa.gov.au).
