Description

Lotononis galpinii is a shrublet of the Fabaceae family that may grow prostrate or erect. It usually has a rounded growth form, sometimes mat-forming.

The species distribution is in KwaZulu-Natal, the Free State and the Eastern Cape, also in Lesotho.

Its habitat is rocky slopes and water courses at high altitude in the Drakensberg Mountains and Maluti Mountains (Manning, 2009; http://redlist.sanbi.org).
