Description

The buds of Jasminum multipartitum in picture display their green, bell-shaped calyx tubes low down. The calyces end in several small and narrow spreading lobes near the bases of the long and also narrow corolla tubes.

The cylindrical corolla tube is green and later green-brown on the outside, sometimes deep pink but the inside of the corolla lobes always open white.

The bud tip widens abruptly at the mouth to be into the ovoid upper part that is paler, comprising the still closed petal lobes, soon to spread (Pooley, 1998; Onderstall, 1984; Germishuizen and Fabian, 1982; iNaturalist).
