Image information

Description

This bushveld grape is budding at its stem tips, some of the yellow flower colour already showing. There are also panicles of small flowers emerging opposite the leaves near the stem tip.

The central folds on the leaves are clear to see, the midribs on the succulent leaves invisible. The jagged leaf margin teeth are irregularly spaced and shaped, more pronounced on the very young and still shiny leaves. Stem angularity is visible on the young stem in the foreground (Smith and Crouch, 2009; www.zimbabweflora.co.zw).
