The tepals of the Melasphaerula graminea flowers look long here, given the angle of the photo. The style and stamens arch from the left near the dominant tepal. The outer tepal on the right, between the two brown-marked inner ones is, unmarked.

The tepals are wavy, the flower long-stalked (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Manning, 2007; Le Roux, et al, 2005).
