Description

The stalked flowers of Dipcadi brevifolium grow in a loose, erect raceme that is secund (meaning all of them face to one side of the flowering stem). The flowers face outwards, the perianths mostly angled from slightly above or below the horizontal, not nodding deeply.

There are usually four to ten flowers in an inflorescence. Flower colours vary from tan brown to green, cream or creamy green, the stem greyish, sometimes the outer part of the perianths as well.

Flowering happens in spring, the photo taken in September (Moriarty, 1997; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist; http://worldfloraonline.org).
